The Administrative Care Coordination Unit (ACCU) is the local arm of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) and the Maryland Medicaid Program.  ACCU answers questions about HealthChoice, the Maryland Children’s Health Program, choosing an MCO, choosing a doctor, Medical Assistance benefits, and helps with accessing care.   ACCU assists in locating mental health services, substance abuse treatment services, dental services, specialty providers and care coordination services for medical assistance recipients.

Information on Health Choice Education

Expanded Administrative Care Coordination

Expanded Administrative Care Coordination serves as a resource for information and care coordination for pregnant and postpartum women and children under two years of age. Information is provided to the Medicaid recipients in order to enhance their access to Medicaid services. The EACC also assists recipients by helping them resolve problems they are having with their Medicaid insurance.
