Starting March 2023, Medicaid enrollees need to verify their contact information is correct.
Every year, Medicaid enrollees need to renew and verify that all of their information is correct. People who were due to renew in March 2020 have had their coverage extended due to the pandemic. The Pandemic extension ends on April 30, 2023.
-
There have been no closures since the pandemic started, so if someone started in March 2019 they need to renew starting this month (March 2023) since they didn’t have to renew in March 2020.
-
The MCHP program did get a renewal list and will open on two Saturdays in March (11th and 25th) to assist clients to renew in the Havre de Grace office only (2027 Pulaski Highway, Suite D Havre de Grace, MD 21078) from 9 am to 1 pm.
-
Applications over the telephone end on April 30th
-
Letters have started to go out about the renewals. Addresses have changed during COVID and we have received a lot of return mail. MCHP employees have been calling those who have not been reached through mail to come in to update their applications (i.e. address, income, employment status, etc.) Most individuals have not been reached because their phone numbers are incorrect/ not in service.
-
MCHP Children the month they turn 19 ends and they have to apply as an adult, they need to reapply as an adult if this happened after March 2020. (exceptions to this).
-
Anyone who owes documentation/verification of any kind since March 2020 will close in April 2023.
-
The process to renew/update will only take a few minutes.
