No one is denied services based on their inability to pay.
For each clinic service offered by the Harford County Health Department for which there is a charge, the fee is based on the cost of the service. The client’s responsibilty is determined based on the client’s gross family income and the number in the client’s family as applied to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Out-patient Sliding Fee Scale.
Each client is expected to produce documentation that proves both their gross family income and family size prior to receiving services. If a client feels they cannot afford the fee calculated, they may complete a fee reduction request form and submit it to the Health Department, along with the information noted on the form, for consideration..
