What is AERS?
Assessment Evaluation and Review Services (AERS) provides comprehensive assessments to Harford County residents for a variety of community programs which aim to keep the individual in his/her home or in the least restrictive environment possible.
Who is it for?
Maryland Medicaid services are designed to help individuals who are either: interested in leaving an institution or who are at risk for institutionalization to remain in their homes. Maryland Medicaid offers home and community-based services for:
• Older adults;
• Persons with disabilities; and
• Children with chronic illnesses.

Eligibility: Individuals of all ages with Medicaid/Medical Assistance would be eligible for an assessment to determine if one qualifies for Home and Community-based services through Maryland Medicaid (Must be full community Medicaid; SLMB and QMB recipients are not eligible).
