THE BIVALENT BOOSTER IS HERE!
The most updated COVID-19 vaccine, the Bivalent Booster, is authorized to help provide better protection against COVID-19 and its always-changing strains. The Bivalent Booster includes components of the original virus strain and the Omicron variant, for broad protection against all strains of COVID-19, including the Omicron variant.
The booster serves the same purpose as the previous vaccines, to help protect individuals from severe illness and to prevent hospitalizations and deaths.
The FDA has approved the Moderna COVID-19 Bivalent vaccine for individuals 18 years of age and older and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Bivalent vaccine for individuals 12 years of age and older.
Who is eligible?
- 12 and older for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Bivalent
- 18 and older for the Moderna COVID-19 Bivalent
- Those who have gotten their primary vaccination
- Those whose most recent vaccination was at least 2 months ago
